Document Destruction > On-Site or Off-Site

On-Site Service

When subscribing to our On-Site shredding services, a AAA Certified N.A.I.D. Security Technician will come directly to your home or business. After presenting a photo ID badge, the Security Technician will transfer the material from your Secure Container(s) to the mobile document destruction truck waiting outside your door. The material is then deposited into a high-volume shredder where it is quickly destroyed.

Each mobile document destruction truck is equipped with a video monitoring system allowing you to observe your material be destroyed via an on-board closed circuit television screen. For added peace of mind, you are welcome to witness the process every time the service is performed. After all materials have been destroyed, the Security Technician will provide you with a Certificate of Destruction for your records.

On-Site service is available for both regular scheduled route visits and “on call” arrangements. We can also arrange On-Site service for one-time bulk shredding needs resulting from file purging or spring cleaning. No job is too small or too large for the Document Destruction Division at Randy’s Environmental Services.

Secure Chain of Custody – This is a term used widely in the Document Destruction Industry. However, we take it to a whole different level. From the second you deposit a document into one of our Secure Containers to the time the shredded paper is delivered to a mill for recycling, the chain of custody is never broken. Unlike the competition, we do not utilize 3rd party transfer facilities for paper baling or 3rd party trucking companies for bale transportation. From start to finish, all facilities and equipment used in the process are owned and operated by Randy’s Environmental Services.

Off-Site Service

Off-Site shredding is conducted in the same secure manner as On-Site service. However the shredding takes place at our facility instead of yours. Here are some common examples in which Off-Site Shredding is a good alternative:

File Purging/Bulk Shredding Needs - Often times, businesses will store large quantities of old records in a separate warehouse or storage facility. In this situation, we can arrange to meet the customer and provide a “load n go” service by bringing the material back to our facility for secure shredding. For the customer whose time is limited, this option gets the job done quickly.

Electronic Media - Items such as Cassette Tapes, VHS Tapes, CDs, DVDs, Floppy Disks, Microfiche, and Hard-drives are typically destroyed Off-Site. Due to the plastics and metals found in Electronic Media, Off Site shredding ensures that all shredded paper remains recyclable. Note: On-Site service is available for most Electronic Media when the volumes are considerably large.

Small Amounts – Randy’s has 3 Public Drop Site Locations for those who have a small amount of material to be destroyed. This is a very cost-effective alternative for homeowners and small businesses with minimal one-time shredding needs. Contact us for more details on this popular service option.
